Electrical/Electronics Technician

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronics Technician to build, wire, solder, assemble, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic systems, prototypes, tooling, and PCBs. The role requires reading technical drawings and schematics, performing component-level troubleshooting, documenting test results, and using various electrical/electronic test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and wire electrical/electronic prototypes, tooling, and equipment.

  • Perform soldering, PCB assembly, testing, calibration, and repairs.

  • Read and interpret complex schematics, technical drawings, and assembly procedures.

  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits, hardware, systems, and components.

  • Use DMMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators/analyzers, power supplies, thermocouples, and strain gauges.

  • Record test data and prepare reports, sketches, schematics, and documentation.

  • Follow ESD, PPE, safety, and quality procedures.

  • Support continuous improvement and communicate with engineering teams, customers, and vendors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of electrical/electronics experience.

  • Strong skills in wiring, soldering, PCB assembly, electrical testing, and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to troubleshoot to the component level.

  • Knowledge of digital, analog, power, RF, and FPGA electronics.

  • Ability to read electrical schematics and assembly drawings.

  • Experience with common hand and power tools.

Preferred:

  • IPC J-STD-001 certification.

  • IPC-A-610 certification.

  • Automotive industry experience.
