Job Summary:
PCA  at Care Runners Home Care Services, Inc. plays an essential role in providing quality and compassionate care to elderly individuals needing home care services. The PCA is responsible for providing assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and other activities of daily living. The PCA is also responsible for assisting with any medical equipment and medications, monitoring and recording vital signs, and making sure the client follows all physician orders.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position with compensation ranging from $14 to $15 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, Care Runners Home Care Services, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, and more.
Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs and provide assistance with medication administration, as ordered by a physician.
• Assist with the use of medical equipment and make sure it is in proper working order.
• Establish and maintain a professional relationship with clients and their families.
• Ensure that all patient care plans are followed and executed as directed.
• Report any changes in the patient’s condition or behavior to the appropriate staff.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to clients and their families.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must successfully complete state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program and maintain current certification.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, auto insurance and clean driving record.
