LOOKING FOR  AIDES FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS: RESTON, ALEXANDRIA, FALLS CHURCH, ARLINGTON, FAIRFAX, SPRINGFIELD, AND ANNANDALE. 

5 Stars Homecare is looking for a diverse staff of Personal Care Aides, who are trained to provide non-medical assistance with daily activities in the comfort of a patient’s own home, to ensure that they live a rich, fulfilling life.

PCA’s are responsible for assisting with daily tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Personal Services: Bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, assisting with eating, dressing, walking, and toileting, accompany to medical appointments, run errands as needed
  • Homemaking: meal planning and preparation, feeding client, linen change, client’s laundry, light housekeeping (washing dishes, cleaning), listing grocery supplies, performing ONLY functions on plan of care
  • Companionship: converse with patient, monitor diet and exercise, remind clients to take medications
  • Responding to emotional, physical and developmental needs of clients sensitively while reporting any new information to the administrator & following emergency procedures when necessary

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid CPR (can assist with finding a program)
  • Must have valid, recent TB test
  • Experience as a personal Care Aide
  • Current certification as a Personal Care Aide (can assist with finding a class to become certified)
