A PC Refresh is the process of replacing or upgrading outdated computers within an organization with newer hardware and software. This helps ensure that employees have reliable, secure, and up-to-date technology to perform their work efficiently. PC Refresh projects often include data migration, software installation, and proper disposal or recycling of old devices. The goal is to minimize downtime and improve productivity while maintaining IT security and compliance.

How does the PC refresh role typically interact with end users and IT teams during a hardware upgrade project?

In a PC Refresh role, you'll frequently collaborate with both end users and internal IT teams to ensure smooth deployment of new hardware. You'll often be responsible for coordinating schedules, communicating upgrade procedures, and providing basic support or training to users adjusting to new devices. Close teamwork with IT is essential for troubleshooting issues, updating asset inventories, and maintaining data integrity throughout the process. Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach are crucial for minimizing disruptions and ensuring a positive user experience.
