Job Summary
To provide strategic leadership and ownership of key customers in the Club channel. Set goals and objectives within our club channel business and to grow our share faster than the category and our competitors. Always creating and sustaining client satisfaction by assisting in the development of business plans and owning our execution strategies within the key club customers including Costco Wholesale, BJ's Wholesale, and Pricesmart. Utilizing the cross-functional support of finance, marketing, logistics, and sales support, the director role will own the P&L for the channel and deliver results based on our annual plan.
Job Description
  • Develop relationships vertically and horizontally with our key club customers, both regionally and within their corporate office.
  • Present targeted strategic plans to build new item distribution and effective and efficient brand promotion strategies
  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategic plan for the channel.
  • Accountable for the execution of strategic plans for all brands and categories (frozen, dry grocery, sauce, snacks, and ethnic).
  • Manage to plan the top-line sales, share, distribution, promotion, pricing, merchandising, demand planning, financial management and bottom-line profitability.
  • Engaging in proactive, ongoing communications to provide status, opportunities, manage expectations, and needs associated with the achievement of our Business plan.
  • Owns the communication and transfer of knowledge of channel goals and objectives, and insights to drive understanding across relevant cross-functional teams, understanding the importance of being the "channel expert."
  • Review and evaluate weekly reporting tools including business planning, communication and execution framework to drive consistency and efficiency internally, as well as visibility and intelligence to the leadership team and across positions internally.
  • Assist administrative support, FPA, logistics, marketing, and others in the development of targeted strategic channel plans to build effective and efficient brand promotion strategies and strengthen brand activation based on channel consumer and brand knowledge.
  • Provides feedback and guidance of each associate within the club team and provides leadership and assistance to the team to ensure the company meets and exceeds our sales goals.

Qualifications
  • Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of 10-years 'experience in the CPG industry preferred; 7+ years of club sales experience; 3+ years of personnel management. PC knowledge and skills in word, excel, email and PowerPoint; Communication skills, including listening, presentations, written and verbal skills; Insights-based, consultative selling and negotiation skills; Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel with pivot tables, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP, Salesforce, CRM, and Syndicated data (IRI, Nielson, Circana, CRX).
  • Other Functions: FMCG Channel knowledge, respect with/ by the retailers and industry stakeholders; Understanding of our client's strategy; Clear understanding of client expectations; Understanding/ communicating insights; Persuasive selling; Professionalism.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Communication skills, including listening, presentations, written and verbal skills; Insights-based, consultative selling and negotiation skills; advanced category management knowledge, including but not limited to the "4 Ps"; Business acumen and intelligence, including market and industry trends; Good organizational and time management skills; Customer service orientation; Ongoing professionalism and ability to handle pressure.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid driver's license.
  • Supervisory Responsibility: 3-5 people team.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel within the US for customer, client or company meetings on an as needed basis.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bring sample products to the account calls.
  • Language Skills: English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
