On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Database Administrator for a contract opportunity in Seattle, WA.

Database Administrator Job Details

Responsible for monitoring the daily operations of data warehouse and data conversion & analytics applications running in Windows, Hadoop, and Cloud environments. Analyze issues, evaluate alternatives, implement solutions, and document outcomes. System testing responsibilities as needed.

Operational Support Duties:- Customer operations request monitoring - Customer operations issue disposition- Monitoring of files ingestion- Monitoring of translation pipelines- Configuration of files ingestion pipelines- Monitoring of automated error alerts- Disposition of errors- Error disposition tracking- Customer events notification- Database credentials management- Hadoop credentials management - Automate manual processes- Process documentation Testing Duties, as time allows:- Manual testing of pc, Hadoop, and cloud applications- Automated test suite, script maintenance- Automation of tests using custom regression test framework

Database Administrator Mandatory Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or related field preferred Experience working with appropriate programming databases, languages, operating systems and software (see below)

- Database, SQL

- Unix experience, scripting

- PC experience, Windows applications

- Previous operational support experience

- Excellent communications skills

- Commitment to customer service

- Previous software testing experience is a plus

- Previous computer systems support and administration is a plus
