Payroll Manager

CFS is partnering with a growing hospitality organization to identify a Payroll Manager to oversee and coordinate payroll operations for a large, multi-state employee population. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys ownership of the payroll function while collaborating with an outsourced payroll provider. The position is based 5 days onsite in South Boston and offers a salary range of $120,000-$130,000 plus potential bonus opportunities.

Payroll Manager Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary internal owner of the payroll function for approximately 2,300 employees across multiple states
  • Partner closely with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
  • Manage and review bi-weekly payroll data, audits, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Validate employee data, earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefit withholdings
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
  • Review payroll controls and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Generate payroll reports and analytics for leadership as needed
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Maintain payroll records and support audit requests
