Job description

Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll for temporary employees, ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining payroll records, and providing outstanding support to our branch offices. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and customer service are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and process payroll information from timesheets, time clocks, electronic systems, and other approved documentation.
  • Accurately enter payroll data to ensure timely and accurate employee pay.
  • Verify payroll information and research discrepancies to resolve issues.
  • Process direct deposit enrollments and updates.
  • Review, process, and enter child support, medical support, wage garnishments, and tax levy deductions.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Respond to payroll-related questions from branch offices and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Troubleshoot payroll and system-related issues.
  • Participate in payroll and field staff training as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and payroll procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Payroll department and overall business operations.
QualificationsRequired
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to quickly learn payroll systems and internal software.
Preferred
  • At least one year of payroll, accounting, customer service, or related business experience.
