Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite Senior-Level Payroll Specialist in Ashburn, VA. The specialist will ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance with federal labor standards, and timely support for employees and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist Includes: * Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of hours worked, leave, deductions, and payroll adjustments. * Review and validate timekeeping records to ensure compliance with organizational policies and federal regulations. * Investigate and resolve payroll, leave, and timekeeping discrepancies in a timely manner. * Provide employee support and guidance regarding payroll processes, policies, procedures, and system usage. * Maintain payroll records, prepare payroll and reconciliation reports, and support internal and external audit activities. Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist Includes: * 5-8 years of payroll administration experience with demonstrated knowledge of payroll processing and compliance. * Strong understanding of federal labor regulations, timekeeping requirements, FLSA, PTO accruals, and multi-state payroll practices. * Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, or Deltek Costpoint. * Ability to interpret, apply, and maintain payroll policies and procedures with accuracy and consistency. * Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills to support employees and resolve payroll-related inquiries.
