Payroll Manager

Own the weekly cycle. Keep Paycor clean. File it right across states. A corporate seat for someone who already runs payroll and is not looking to be managed through it.

This is a full-time, on-site corporate role in Cincinnati. The company is a growing, privately held, multi-state employer. The name stays off this page on purpose. If the work fits, the company gets named on a call.

The work

You own payroll end to end. Not a shared-services slice and not a processor who only keys what someone else already checked.

  • Run the weekly payroll from start to finish — hours, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Keep employee payroll data accurate in Paycor.
  • Review the register before it goes out. Catch it here, not after a paycheck is wrong.
  • Handle payroll tax filings, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare payroll reports for leadership and HR.
  • Work with HR and managers when something does not match. Close it. Document it.
  • Keep records accurate and confidential.
  • Own year-end: W-2s and required reporting.
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local payroll rules. This workforce is multi-state.
  • Answer employee payroll questions directly and professionally.

  • Comfort with confidential information.
  • Excel and Microsoft Office. HRIS experience is a plus.
  • Associate degree in accounting preferred, or equivalent experience. A degree will not replace Paycor time.
