Panduit is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Associate to support the accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll operations. This role serves as a key contributor within the payroll function, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering exceptional service to employees and business partners. The Payroll Associate II will analyze payroll data, resolve complex payroll issues, maintain employee records, and support continuous improvement initiatives across payroll processes.

What You Will Do

  • Process 1 bi- weekly and 3 weekly payrolls for employees in the US and Canada.
  • Review payroll transactions for accuracy, including earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefit elections.
  • Audit payroll reports and investigate discrepancies prior to payroll finalization.
  • Research and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, Human Resources, and Finance.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity within payroll and HR systems.
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation, audits, reconciliations, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and company policies.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Benefits, Accounting, and external vendors to address payroll-related matters.
  • Assist with payroll system testing, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare payroll metrics, reports, and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve payroll efficiency and accuracy.

What You Will Bring

  • Education:. Associate's Degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources or relevant equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience: 2+ years of payroll processing experience in a corporate environment.
  • Qualifications: Working knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour regulations, and payroll compliance requirements, Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (preferably Workday and ADP), Prior involvement in payroll audits, reconciliations, or system implementation
  • Competencies: Accuracy and attention to detail, Customer service orientation, Accountability and ownership, Effective communication, Collaboration across functions, Continuous improvement mindset, Data analysis and reporting
