At PrizePicks, we are the fastest-growing sports company in North America, as recognized by Inc. 5000. As the leading platform for Daily Fantasy Sports, we cover a diverse range of sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, and Esports titles like League of Legends and Counter-Strike. The Payroll Manager owns payroll administration end to end — making sure employees are paid accurately, on time, and in line with every applicable law, tax and company policy. You'll run day-to-day payroll operations, build out best practices, keep our systems sharp, and serve as the go-to expert on all things payroll.

What you’ll do:
  • Manage and process payroll for all employees across multiple states and jurisdictions, accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee payroll system functionality, upgrades, and integrations with HRIS, accounting, and benefits systems.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Manage year-end activities, including W-2s, 1099s, and other required filings.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies professionally and promptly.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance on compensation and benefits programs as they relate to payroll.
  • Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and controls to improve efficiency and mitigate risk.
What you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and regulations, with the ability to support a growing organization with a footprint in 30+ states.
  • Experience with UKG Ready strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Where you’ll live:

While we prefer candidates based in Atlanta, we are open to qualified applicants from anywhere in the U.S. and are willing to consider remote candidates.

Working at PrizePicks:

The typical salary range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000. At PrizePicks, we consider your role, level, and where you'll be working when determining our salary ranges. The compensation info you see on our job postings gives you an idea of the starting pay range for the position. Your actual pay within that range will depend on your specific work location, as well as your skills, experience, and education.

This application period will remain open for 30 days. We’re committed to finding the best candidate, so this date may be adjusted, and any changes will be reflected in this posting.

Date Posted: 8/3/26

Benefits you’ll receive:
  • Company-subsidized medical, dental, & vision plans
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Annual bonus
  • Flexible PTO to encourage a healthy work/life balance (2 weeks STRONGLY encouraged!)
  • Generous paid leave programs, including 16-week paid parental leave and disability benefits
  • Workplace flexibility and modern work schedules focused on getting the job done, not hours clocked
  • Company-wide in-person events and team outings
  • Lifestyle enhancement program
  • Company equipment provided (Windows & Mac options)
  • Annual performance reviews with opportunities for growth and career development
