Job description

Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal is one of the nation's largest roofing contractors in the country and strives to maintain a progressive vision for the future. The company boasts an extensive project portfolio including clients in the automotive, chemical, government, education and healthcare industries. Position Summary:
Responsible for the accurate processing of weekly payroll time records, end-of-period union and tax filings, and assisting the Director of Payroll with various payroll duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Process union payroll, reports, and remittances
  • Create and maintain personnel files
  • Perform new hire setup and employee maintenance
  • Complete requests for unemployment and employment verifications
  • Complete local, state, and federal tax reports and remittances
  • Interface with field and shop workers
  • Complete and submit weekly certified payroll reports
  • Provide payroll-related customer service to field and management employees
  • Provide administrative support to the payroll department
  • Assist the Director of Payroll with various audits
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in accounting or related field, or a combination of education and experience
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills; both internal and external
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
