Job description

The primary mission of the payroll department is to ensure that all Team Partners are paid accurately and timely, and to provide first class customer service wherever there are questions or concerns with Team Partner pay information. The Payroll Associate plays a critical role in performing a wide range of customer service, administrative and operational tasks to ensure the timely execution of payroll operations. 

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Triage incoming payroll service tickets and phone calls, providing initial guidance on basic payroll inquiries and directing them to the appropriate teams for further investigation.
  • Promptly and accurately respond to customer service inquiries via phone call, email or service request.
  • Offer guidance to location managers and office administrators on various payroll processing tasks.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels within the company.

Payroll Administration:

  • Generate, distribute, and review various quality control reports to help identify and prevent errors.
  • Update employee personal and job information in the HRIS system (PeopleSoft HCM).
  • Save, categorize, and upload various payroll forms received through emails or service tickets.
  • Supports the Payroll Team with various tasks and projects, including scanning paperwork, processing and maintaining payroll documents, performing ad-hoc data entry projects, and providing in-office support as needed (typically two days per week).

Experience:

  • Four years of college education in Business Administration/HR/Finance -OR-
  • Two years of college education in Business Administration/HR/Finance and one years relevant experience in Payroll or customer service roles -OR-
  • Two years relevant experience in Payroll or customer service roles

Competencies:

  • Computer skills - Including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
  • Interpersonal - Ability to work well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
  • Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
  • Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
  • Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one's conduct.
  • Resource Management (People & Equipment) - Ability to obtain and appropriate the proper usage of equipment, facilities, materials, as well as personnel.

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $46,225-$53,500 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Geographic differentials may also apply depending on the position's location. There is no application deadline for this role; recruitment will remain open until the position is filled.
