Job Description:

Summary: Process payroll transactions. Perform data entry and accounting services. 5-7 years payroll processing experience required. Extensive payroll experience in a fast-paced, multi-state, demanding environment is needed. Comprehensive knowledge of wage and hour laws, garnishment laws, and taxability of wages. CPP or FPC preferred but not required.

*Candidates must be located near our Minnetonka, MN office as the role is hybrid with 2 days a week in office.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Lead daily, biweekly, and special payroll processes for multi-state payroll for Us non-exempt and exempt employees.
  • Process payroll for up to 500* employees
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Maintain payroll control records
  • Provide guidance to the team on payroll processing, tax laws, garnishments, system issues and general troubleshooting in payroll.
  • Assist with mentoring of payroll specialists and as a backup for their duties.
  • Work with the team to research and respond to escalated employee inquiries.
  • Authorizes, reviews, and prepare complex payroll transactions.
  • Assist with final payroll check calculation review
  • Perform adhoc projects as needed
  • Assist in month/quarter/year-end close
  • Completes verification of employment verifications, garnishments, and EDD notices as needed.
  • Provide support to managers and employees with Workday's time tracking and absence modules
  • Back up for payroll transmit.
  • Exemplifies professionalism
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail

Knowledge and Skills Required to be successful:

Position's Pay Range:

$31.00 - $36.00
