Job description

This position represents LAUNCH internally and externally in a positive and professional manner. This position is primarily responsible for processing payroll on a weekly basis. The Payroll Specialist will have daily communication and coordinate with Corporate (Oak Brook, IL) staff as well as various client locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform daily payroll department operations
  • Consistently, accurately process payroll for up to 1500+ employees
  • Collect timecards from employees at multiple different locations
  • Save all timecards on the shared drive for reference
  • Solve issues and answer questions related to payroll, answer inquiries, and enforce company polices
  • Complete all employment verification and unemployment claim requests on time
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
  • Organize and maintain all record keeping including scanning of all data and proper filing within department files
  • Provide customer service to all employees, outside customers, and vendors
  • Other duties as assigned.
