THE TOWER HILL SCHOOL - Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope is our extended day program and is considered part of our Lower and Middle School day program, where theres time for a snack, homework, activities and relaxation. Students have the opportunity to unwind from their busy day, interact with friends and engage in a variety of activities.

Its a place where:

  • Students are in a safe environment with dedicated staff.

  • Relationships develop at many levels and friendships are fostered.

  • Various enrichment activities are offered to meet diverse needs.

  • Creativity is encouraged and imaginations soar.

  • Teachers supervise and help with daily homework.

Staff Responsibilities

  • Provide a stimulating and varied program that recognizes the uniqueness of each child

  • Plan meaningful and engaging activities

  • Set up classroom with activities/snack for the day

  • Demonstrate a willingness to explore new ideas and approaches provided through the Lower School

  • Maintain classrooms, materials, supplies, including the cleanliness, orderliness, and organization of all equipment and classroom spaces

  • Supervise and provide for the safety of students in all settings: classroom and all areas of playground

  • Help students build relationships with one another and navigate conflicts through use of peer mediation

  • Build relationships and communicate with parents of enrolled students

  • Attend staff meetings

  • Have consistent, punctual attendance

  • Communicate regularly with Director, both ideas and concerns

  • Complete Clock In/Out using Paycom
