POSITION SUMMARY:

SME Industries, Inc. is seeking high-potential Accounts Payable Clerks to join our team in West Jordan, UT. This role will be a key member of the accounting team, responsible for a broad range of AP activities. These roles are based in West Jordan, UT. and have an in-office work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department

  • Research, track and restore documentation discrepancies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience, preferably as an Accounts Payable rep.
  • High school degree as a minimum qualification, relevant certifications and/or degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and GAAP procedures
  • Competency in Excel and hands-on experience with spreadsheets
  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software, such as TimberScan and Sage 300 CRE, and the Trimble suite
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Well-organized with the ability to condense complex information into a digestible format
  • Honesty and accountability
