Position Summary:
The Crack Seal / Seal Buggy Operator applies sealant to cracks in roads and parking lots to help prevent damage and extend pavement life. This role involves working outdoors and operating sealing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect pavement to identify cracks that need sealing
  • Clean cracks by removing dirt and debris before sealing
  • Operate crack sealing equipment (seal buggy, kettle, wand)
  • Apply hot or cold sealant to cracks
  • Assist with sealcoating when needed
  • Load and prepare materials such as sealant and tools
  • Follow all safety rules, including PPE and traffic control
  • Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean
  • Help with other tasks like patching, pothole repair, and prep work

Requirements
  • 2 + year of operating Seal Buggy
  • 2+ years of asphalt, construction, or crack sealing experience required
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, traffic)
  • Willing to work early mornings, long hours, and weekends as needed
  • Travel is required depending on the location of our job sites, whether local or out of town/state.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor (standing, walking, bending, repetitive motion)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely as part of a team
  • 21+ years of age
  • OSHA certification is a plus, or willingness to obtain it.
