What is the Opportunity?

Calgary Construction Operations is hiring a Paver Operator to support our Paving Division in Calgary, Alberta for the 2026 Season.  

What You'll Do Here:

  • Operate the paver and other equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ensure the asphalt mix is placed to the correct grade and thickness
  • Maintain the correct speed and move the paver in a straight line
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety inspections
  • Preheat the paving screed before asphalt placement
  • Monitor and control asphalt mixture temperatures
  • Coordinate with trucks delivering asphalt to the paver

What You Bring to the Team:

  • 2+ years' experience operating a Paver.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
  • Maintains a valid Class 5 driver's license or better.
  • Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.
  • Willing to work overtime, nightshifts, weekends, as required.
  • Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $36 - $42 per hour

Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
