Responsibilities:

You are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the asphalt paver. This position operates paving equipment used to spread and level hot mix paving material.

Requirements:

  • Operates the paver and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.

  • Performs daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.

  • Inspects, cleans, maintains, and repairs equipment, as needed

  • Must work quickly, productively, and safely to meet production goals.

  • Operates paver appropriately to the work area and ensure proper application of the asphalt.

  • May operate trucks to transport equipment to and from production sites as required.

  • May operate additional equipment used as needed.

  • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude.

  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.

  • Is dependable and accountable for actions.

  • Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to work independently and prioritize work.

  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and helps ensure company's compliance.

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule during paving season.

  • Must have previous experience -1 year (Preferred)
