Pattern Maker - Foundry Shop
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pattern Maker to join our dynamic foundry team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining patterns used in the casting process to ensure high-quality metal components. Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop accurate patterns for casting processes.
- Create patterns using various materials such as wood, plastic, or metal, ensuring precision and durability.
- Modify and repair existing patterns to meet production requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize pattern designs for efficiency and quality.
- Maintain detailed records of pattern designs, modifications, and production activities.
- Ensure all patterns comply with safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Assist in the setup and operation of pattern-making equipment as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pattern Maker, preferably in a foundry or metal casting environment (Will look at carpentry, woodworking, cabinet making, and/or autobody repair as well)
- Strong understanding of casting processes and pattern design principles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and pattern-making machinery.
