Job Description
Responsibilities
We're looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our patient transport team!
Transport patients and patient equipment throughout the hospital. Provide excellent service for every patient to support a safe and comfortable healing environment.
Responsibilities
  • Transport patients in wheelchairs, hospital beds, or on stretchers
  • Work as a team with nursing, medical staff, and other hospital departments to achieve excellent patient satisfaction
  • Practice cooperation, patience, excellent communication, and a willingness to work as a team
  • Clean and disinfect patient transport equipment to ensure patient safety
  • Follow all HHS and regulatory procedures and best practices
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
  • Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
  • CPR certified (American Heart Association), or required to obtain certification with HHS
  • GED or high school diploma
  • Preferred: Patient transportation experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, healthcare, patient care, equipment maintenance)

Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
  • Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
  • Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
