Job Overview

Fairview is looking for a Patient Transport person to join our team at our Fairview East Bank University Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. The Patient Transporter is responsible for assisting in the transfer and transport of patients and will work in a collaborative environment so that the goals and objectives of treatment are achieved. The Patient Transporter will assist as needed with the physical move, lift, transfer and transport patients on the hospital premises in a timely, efficient, customer service-oriented manner.

Position Details

  •  0.6 FTE (48 hours per pay period)
  • 10:00am to 6:30pm
  • Every other weekend 9:00am to 5:30pm

Set schedule to be discussed upon interview


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safe physical transfer and transport of patients throughout the University Campus.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness to assure prompt patient delivery.
  • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards and emergency preparedness.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport related tasks.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and all members of the medical team.
  • Utilize provided technology to accurately record Transport data.
  • Continuously works to improve interpersonal skills and relationships.
  • Communicates continuously with team members, medical staff and dispatch.


Required Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year Customer Service or Patient Care experience
