Responsibilities
State of Nevada EMT certification or a Certified Nursing Assistant license required. Since one-on-one patient care/interaction is frequent, critical thinking skills is essential to ensure patient safety. Direct patient care duties include but are not limited to, managing and assisting with patient movement to and from medical units and outpatient waiting areas, providing continuum of care standards through safety screening, cardiac monitoring and keeping IV and oxygen rates as set by physician, nursing or technical staff. Clear communication skills are essential. Other duties include assisting technologists with room/exam/patient preparation includes the use of sterile (scrub, gown and glove) and aseptic techniques, may assist physicians, RN and technologists after training and competency, answering telephones, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians, RN or Technologists as requested. Sound knowledge and application of medical terminology is added value. Must demonstrate strong telephone etiquette and interpersonal/time management skills. Location for assignments can change depending on business needs.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
2. Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia training within 90 days of hire.
3. Successful completion of Radiation Safety and Level II Magnetic Resonance safety training within 30 days of hire.
4. Certified EMT or Licensed CNA in the state of Nevada required.
5. Experience providing the safe transportation and cardiac monitoring of patients preferred.
