Overview

Fountain Tire Edson is searching for a friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced Service Manager to manage the operations of the service department to drive productivity, quality assurance and to promote a high level of customer satisfaction.

 As a Service Manager, your duties will include:

  • Overseeing and managing mechanical and tire services 
  • Setting quality standards and maintaining the quality of all shop activities
  • Creating work orders and arranging bookings and communicating them to the technicians
  • Provide service quotes and receive customer authorization for work to be performed on vehicles, finalize sales, and complete customer follow up
  • Recommend tire service, specialty tire service, wheel and mechanical service to customers
  • Ensuring completion of shop maintenance and repair work
  • Addressing customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous, professional manner
  • Advising technicians of work that must be completed
  • Ensuring technicians compliance with company standards regarding quality, safety, and customer service
  • Managing the morale in the shop by setting and demonstrating a strong business ethic for dealing with employees, suppliers and customers
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the shop

Our ideal candidate has/is:

  • 5+ years of automotive industry experience
  • Must have an advanced knowledge of mechanical and tire services in a commercial automotive environment
  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service
  • Proven leadership ability, with a strong focus on operations and business processes
  • Commercial vehicle inspection program and out of province inspection certifications
  • High level of integrity and accountability
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Continuously looking to learn and use new skills and the demonstrated ability to recognize opportunities for improvements
  • Flexible, patient, and calm when working with tight schedules
