Job description

Patient Services Scheduler
Location: Patient Resource Center, Valley Health Partners, Allentown, PA
Coordinates patient scheduling activities including appointments, procedures, and exams for one VHPCHC service line. Provides excellent customer service while assisting patients, physician offices, and staff with scheduling needs and appointment coordination.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field, preferred.

Experience:
  • No prior healthcare or scheduling experience required.
  • Customer service experience is a plus.

Needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn scheduling systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Ability to work in a past-paces environment while handling multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Professional and courteous phone etiquette.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
