Job Overview:
The Patient Placement Nurse is a Registered Nurse who coordinates patient throughput from all points of entry to facilitate overall hospital patient flow. This RN works within a team in receiving all communication related to patients requiring a bed for appropriate clinical expertise and facility placement to support delivery of quality care. The Patient Placement RN collaborates with hospital staff, ADCOs, physicians, staff, resource team, and transfer center to define, reduce and eliminate barriers within the system which may impede patient flow and surge plan.
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) in Indiana or other compact licensure state
  • A minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting or related specialty area preferred
