Job description

With more than 700 care sites across the U.S. from clinics and hospitals to home-based care and virtual care services CommonSpirit is accessible to nearly one out of every four U.S. residents. Our world needs compassion like never before. Our communities need caring and our families need protection. With our combined resources CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable and innovating how and where healing can happen both inside our hospitals and out in the community.

As our Quality Outcome Program Coordinator, you will participate in all aspects of program development, implementation, and sustainment for quality outcomes, as identified and measured through external programs like Leapfrog and the Hospital Transformation Project.

Every day you will coordinate and manage external quality programs and project plans, working collaboratively with leadership and external agencies to understand, develop, and implement program requirements. You will create comprehensive project plans and timelines to achieve established program goals.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong organizational and project management skills, a deep understanding of external quality standards and performance improvement strategies, and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders to drive quality outcome achievements.

Coordinates program development for sustaining institutional activities, structures, processes, and outcomes to drive improved scores.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement through analysis of key programmatic indicators, abstraction, and validation. Identifies patterns and trends for programmatic issues and refers to appropriate leadership and/or committee with recommendations/actions. Generates aligned pragmatic reports for enterprise, group, and local leadership for program sustainment.
  • Conducts concurrent review of program as appropriate, coordinates submission and identifies opportunities for improvement and acting to improve outcomes. Ensures timely and accurate reports for leadership, committees, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrates professional ownership of outcomes and administrative judgment in decision-making and leadership with interdisciplinary groups involved in the planning, designing, implementing, and improving patient care services and reliable health care delivery systems as outlined in HTP.

The position involves working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and the community to increase behavioral health service capacity and access to care in Kansas.
