TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Spokane, Washington.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift: 12 hours, nights

Unit: Mother Baby Unit (23 beds)

Minimum years of experience: 2 years with 1 year of Mother-Baby/Postpartum. Must have experience caring for antepartum patients. Help L&D with recoveries and antepartum care (the L&D nurse, not PP nurse, would have to do the fetal monitoring here)
Required Licensure & Certifications: BLS & NRP; EFM preferred
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types: Post partum and low risk ante-partum.
Floating: L&D and NICU; unit is a closed pod to birth center, voluntarily you can float to med surg to sit
Skills required: breastfeeding assistance; newborn care, including vital signs, thermoregulation, managing hypoglycemia, bilirubin levels, and NAS (Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome) babies. Newborn lab and phlebotomy and IV skills (adult) are preferred, as well as experience with PKU testing; ability to independently care for 3-4 couplets, provide discharge teaching, vaccinate neonates, and perform thorough assessments and reassessments for both mothers and babies. Must also be able to perform fundal checks on postpartum patients.
EMR: EPIC (experience preferred)
Weekend rotation: Yes, every other or every third
On call? No, only voluntarily
Scrub Color: any color scrubs, for NICU we wear hospital scrubs
