Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing critical support in an intensive care unit setting. As an Arrhythmia Technician, you will play a vital role in monitoring cardiac rhythms and supporting patient care through clerical and communication duties.
General Summary
This role involves continuous observation of telemetry monitors, ensuring the proper functioning of cardiac monitoring equipment, and acting as a key communication hub within the nursing station.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established patient safety protocols, including infection prevention measures.
  • Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and identify significant changes or patterns.
  • Ensure all cardiac monitoring devices are operational and promptly report any malfunctions.
  • Notify nursing staff immediately of any issues with patient monitoring or significant rhythm changes.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, printing, copying, entering charges, and maintaining office equipment.
  • Maintain accurate patient logs and ensure all documentation is properly labeled and prepared for scanning.
  • Manage the return of monitoring equipment following patient transfers or discharges.
  • Document rhythm changes during treatments and regularly post telemetry strips.
  • Keep patient information boards current and answer phones with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Coordinate with team members and ancillary departments to schedule tests and procedures.
  • Adapt positively to changes and uphold organizational values and policies.

Education
High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience
