Job description

Patient Flow Coordinator

The primary purpose of the Patient Flow Coordinator position is to maintain vital statistical information of patient expirations. Arranges the efficient and orderly admission and transfer of patients into University Hospital. Interacts with physicians and families to facilitate the postmortem process.

Responsibilities

Three (3) years of clerical experience in a hospital environment, preferably in coordinating procedures regarding patient death certificates, consent forms, and related matters. Knowledge of established regulations and policies pertaining to contact of the Medical Examiner, the police, and mortuary preferred.
