Job description

Job Overview:
The Radiology Utilization Coordinator supports the appropriate and efficient use of imaging services throughout the Indiana Region. This position works across inpatient, emergency, and outpatient settings and supports all imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology. Responsibilities include identifying barriers to imaging access, coordinating exam prioritization and scheduling, supporting appropriate exam selection, monitoring throughput and turnaround times, and helping ensure patients receive the correct imaging services in a timely manner. The coordinator serves as a liaison among radiology teams, physicians, hospital leadership, referring providers, and DCARE, using daily communication and operational collaboration to improve patient flow and maximize radiology resources.
Education and Experience Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Minimum of two years' relevant experience in inpatient radiology, with strong knowledge of imaging workflows, modalities, and hospital-based patient coordination. Required

Licenses and Certifications
  • Current ARRT certification and be licensed as a Radiologic Technologist in the state(s) of practice. Required
  • Advanced registry in CT, MRI, or Interventional Radiology. Preferred
