Sia Hayes at First Connect Health is fast-tracking applications for an experienced Psychiatric Emergency Room (Psych ER) Registered Nurse. This is a high-utilization contract at a Level 1 Trauma/Facility framework. First-time travelers are welcome!

POSITION QUICK-FACTS
  • Shift: Day/Night (D/N) Rotational Position | Weekend Blocked
  • Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours week
  • Hours/Units per day: 12-hour shifts
  • Days per week: 4 days per week
  • Unit Expectations: Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge duties are assigned based on dynamic unit needs.
THE CLINICAL MATRIX
  • The Environment: SMH Level 1 Psych ER facility. High-acuity behavioral health and emergency psychiatric crisis management.
  • Core Duties: Consult with psychiatrists and behavioral health teams to design client treatment plans. Administer and track reactions to psychotropic drugs and medications. Assess vital signs of pain, ensure appropriate interventions, and maintain meticulous medical charts following physician orders.
  • Safety & Security: Actively assist in maintaining a safe, secure, and confidential environment for psychiatric patients and staff.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated acute care nursing experience [HARDSTOP]. Telemetry competency is required.
  • Licensure: Active New York (NY) RN State License ONLY [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification ONLY [HARDSTOP].
