WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Administer Patient Care: Administer medications, provide treatments, and render compassionate care to adult inpatient addiction treatment patients daily.
  • Collaborate with Medical Teams: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, lab personnel, and other medical professionals to coordinate patient care and update treatment plans.
  • Patient Admissions: Assess, orient, and coordinate the plan of care for new patients, obtaining medical orders and ensuring a smooth admission process.
  • Therapeutic Milieu: Participate as a key medical team member, facilitating a therapeutic environment on the unit.
  • Medication Management: Generate and review monthly medication administration records (MARs) and reconcile them with records provided by authorized pharmacists.
  • Discharge Planning: Work with the treatment team to develop and implement discharge plans from the day of admission.
  • Liaison & Advocacy: Act as a liaison for hospitalized patients and their families, connecting them with community agencies, hospital consultants, and other vital services.
  • Documentation: Record and chart daily patient contacts as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
  • Other Duties: Support additional duties and special projects as needed, contributing to the ongoing success of the program.

WHO YOU ARE:
You are a dedicated RN with a passion for helping individuals on their recovery journey. You thrive in team environments but can work independently when needed. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence make you an essential member of the team.
Requirements:
  • Education: State-specific RN Licensure required; BSN or greater degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a mental health or substance use disorder program preferred, with a preference for experience in acute or residential psychiatric care.
  • Certification: Must have or be able to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Work Setting: Indoor, environmentally controlled environment. The position may expose you to contagious diseases and potentially volatile situations.
  • Body Positioning: Frequent sitting and standing; repetitive motions; ability to lift or move up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Communication: Frequent interaction via electronic mail, in-person discussions, public speaking, telephone, and video calls.
