Job description

At our Maternal Fetal Medicine practice, every image tells a story. Every scan provides reassurance, answers, and hope. We're looking for an exceptional OB/GYN Sonographer, with some Maternal Fetal Medicine experience sprinkled in, who is passionate about caring for pregnancies and delivering an outstanding patient experience. If you're the kind of sonographer who loves the challenge of advanced fetal imaging, thrives in a collaborative environment, and knows that compassion is just as important as technical expertise, we'd love to meet you. Bonus points if you can keep babies still for anatomy scans. (Okay... we know that's magic, but we appreciate the effort.)
About the Role:
We have a full-time opportunity working on-site in Roseburg, OR. This position has an expectation of 32-36hrs per week and we are proud a great benefits package. Our MFM Sonographer position has a starting range for "new to MFM Sonographers" of $45 to $47 with in-house training available. The range goes up with experience. In addition, we prioritize our Sonographers ongoing education with a continual learning program.
What will you do:
  • Perform all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician/provider. Acquires and analyzes data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies.
  • Use independent judgment and systematic problem-solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care.
  • Generates reports on organization's RIS system, works with the attending physician/provider to visualize sonographic examination on the OB view workstations.
  • Provides summary findings to the physician/provider to aid in patient diagnosis and management. Prepares accurate and comprehensive preliminary reports and contacts referring physicians/providers when required, according to established procedures.

Requirements
What do you need to bring to the role:
  • Experience: OB/GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine experience preferred.
  • Education: Associate degree in diagnostic medical sonography accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Professional license or certification: Active license from the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) and current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology required, additional specialty certifications related to OB/GYN preferred.
