Join Sage Veterinary Imaging, North America's premier cross-sectional and neurologic imaging specialists. As an Associate Veterinarian โ€“ Advanced Imaging, you'll practice advanced referral medicine in a collaborative specialty imaging environment where patient care, education, and clinical excellence come first.

This is a hands-on clinical role centered around delivering exceptional patient care through advanced diagnostic imaging. You'll perform patient evaluations, oversee anesthesia and sedation, collaborate directly with board-certified radiologists, and help clients and referring veterinarians navigate complex medical decisions with confidence and compassion.

Working alongside board-certified radiologists, experienced technicians, specialists, and the Chief Veterinarian, you'll become an integral part of a team dedicated to advancing veterinary medicine while providing human-quality diagnostic imaging for every patient. As you grow within the organization, you'll have opportunities to expand your leadership responsibilities, mentor interns, strengthen referral relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of Sage Veterinary Imaging.

Primary Responsibilities: Advanced Patient Care
  • Perform comprehensive patient examinations and diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop diagnostic and treatment plans in collaboration with referring veterinarians and board-certified radiologists.
  • Provide anesthesia and sedation for patients undergoing MRI, CT, ultrasound, radiography, and other advanced diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Monitor patient safety throughout the imaging process and oversee recovery.
  • Interpret laboratory findings and pre-anesthetic evaluations to ensure patient readiness.
  • Collaborate with radiologists in real-time to optimize imaging studies and diagnostic outcomes.
  • Communicate imaging findings and recommendations to clients with empathy, professionalism, and clarity.
  • Communicate results and treatment recommendations effectively with referring veterinarians.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of medical quality, patient safety, and medical record documentation.
Secondary Responsibilities: Clinical Operations & Practice Support

In addition to practicing medicine, you'll help support the daily clinical operation of the hospital by:

  • Supporting efficient patient flow and daily hospital operations.
  • Collaborating with the Hospital Manager to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Helping coordinate doctor workflow and imaging schedules.
  • Ensuring patients are appropriately prepared for imaging and radiologist interpretation.
  • Supporting same-day case completion and continuity of patient care.
  • Traveling to other Sage Veterinary Imaging locations, when needed, to provide clinical support.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve patient experience, workflow, and service quality.
Intern Mentorship & Clinical Development

Qualifications Required
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) and eligibility for veterinary licensure in the applicable state.
