Summary:The Patient Coordinator (Front Office Receptionist) schedules appointments, performs check-in and out duties, assists with checkout duties as needed, and performs administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.ย 

  • Collect and process paymentsย 
  • When we receive authorizations back in the mail imports and calls parentsย 
  • Schedules treatment appointments and recall appointmentsย 
  • Confirms treatment appointmentsย 
  • Takes calls throughout the dayย 
  • Process No Show Reportsย 
  • Schedules patients from ASAP Listย 
  • Checks patients in and outย 
  • Verifies info on fileย 
  • Verifies eligibility with insuranceย 
  • Calls patients when past 10 minsย 
  • Confirms observation appointmentsย 
  • Schedules observation appointmentsย 
  • Works on daily sign in sheetย 
  • Scans in NPP, and enters it in the systemย 
  • Regular, predictable attendance is requiredย 
  • Ability to get along and work effectively with othersย 
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:ย ย 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of healthcare/dental front office experience is preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
