Their duties typically include monitoring vital signs, helping patients with daily activities like bathing and eating, drawing blood, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. PCTs work in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities. They play a key role in supporting both the medical staff and patients, ensuring comfort and quality care.

These skills and qualifications are crucial for ensuring patient safety, comfort, and effective collaboration in clinical environments.

A patient care tech assists healthcare professionals by providing basic patient care, such as monitoring vital signs, helping with daily activities, and ensuring patient comfort. They often work under the supervision of nurses or doctors and may need certification in CPR or phlebotomy, depending on the facility.

What are some common challenges patient care techs face when working in fast-paced healthcare environments?

Patient Care Techs often work in busy hospital units or clinics where multitasking and time management are essential. A common challenge is balancing the needs of multiple patients while ensuring high-quality care and adhering to strict protocols.
