Peritoneal Dialysis Patient Care Technician

Dialysis experience is required with CCHT certification

Monday - Friday (8-5)

Longview, Texas

DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) in an outpatient setting. This role provides hands-on support, education, and care coordination under RN supervision to patients managing kidney failure at home.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with training patients and caregivers on PD procedures

  • Support clinical team with patient monitoring, documentation, and equipment prep

  • Conduct home supply inventory and assist with arranging deliveries

  • Monitor vital signs and collect lab specimens as needed

  • Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols

  • Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, and social workers


Requirements

  • Accredited High School diploma, general education development ("GED") credential, or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance

  • Comfortable working with medical supplies, blood, and needles

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays

  • Physical stamina for long shifts and on-your-feet work

  • Healthcare experience (CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy) preferred
