As a Radiology Patient Assistant, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.

Job Overview:

This position has the responsibility for providing clerical services for maintaining medical records and performing a variety of duties involved in acquiring patient insurance and billing information; utilizing computers for entering, processing, and acquiring information. This employee greets and registers patients, verifies precertification of exams, answers telephone, schedules appointments, takes and follows up messages. This employee communicates and coordinates information and tasks with other staff, physicians and outside individuals or entities as directed by the Team Leader and/or Administrator. This position assists Radiologic technologists with patient gowning and screening. Performs room preparation and stocking. This position requires lifting and or moving of patients on MR/CT table. Any other duties to assist radiologic technologists to perform imaging procedures.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

High School Diploma

Patient experience preferred

Medical Terminology knowledge preferred
