Job description

Salary: $11.00 - $11.25 per hour
Minimum Educational Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • High School Diploma, GED, or qualifying documentation from a comparable educational entity required

Position Summary
The Transportation Driver provides safe, dependable transportation services for consumers traveling to and from appointments, including Medicaid-payable appointments. This position also supports consumers through positive skill-building activities and assists with accessing community resources. The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, compassionate, and committed to maintaining consumer safety and confidentiality.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Transport consumers safely and professionally to and from appointments, including office visits and Medicaid-payable appointments
  • Accurately complete and submit required transportation documentation for each trip
  • Ensure vehicles are properly maintained by scheduling routine maintenance and promptly reporting mechanical issues or concerns to a supervisor
  • Support consumers in developing positive life and coping skills, including emotional regulation, crisis coping, and interpersonal skills
  • Assist consumers with accessing and utilizing community resources and support services
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with all Pathways policies and procedures
  • Follow all transportation safety standards, Medicaid transportation requirements, and organizational guidelines
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the position

Experience & Training Requirements
  • Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience working with individuals receiving treatment services for a mental health disorder required
  • Must successfully complete the department-approved training program within six (6) months of hire
  • Must meet all personnel and training requirements for CCBHC and Medicaid transportation services in accordance with broker contracts and Pathways standards
