Job Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Pathology Laboratory Assistant at our Safety Assessment site in Reno, NV.
BASIC SUMMARY:

A Clinical Pathology Laboratory Assistant performs all duties required for the labeling both collection and harvest tubes. Also performs general laboratory duties in support of the daily operations within the Clinical Pathology laboratory.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs all tasks in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Labels tubes, devices and containers.
  • Performs laboratory set-up/clean-up.
  • Monitors inventory, stocks, and cleans assigned areas.
  • Prepares materials and data for shipment and archiving.
  • Maintains disposition of tubes.
  • Washes and dries laboratory supplies and distributes to appropriate locations within the laboratory.
  • Files and maintains data for department activities.
  • May perform phlebotomy when appropriately certified.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).

Schedule: M-F, 8-5
