Cytology + Surgical Pathology Locums Job in New York Scheduled Clinical Hours Beginning ASAP - Ongoing Assignment

Coverage Details
Monday through Friday, 8 AM-5 PM
3-6 month assignment
Credentialing timeframe: approximately 40-45 days
Requirements
AP board certified
Active New York state license

Surgical pathology

Assignment Details
Responsibilities include general anatomic pathology, frozen sections, and cytology interpretation
Locum will gross own specimens and cut own frozen sections
Surgical pathology volume: approximately 13,000 specimens annually
Cytology volume: approximately 3,000 specimens annually
Other pathologists on site
Support staff includes physicians, histotechnologists, a pathology assistant, and cytotechnologists
Cytology proficiency exam required for GYN cytology
EMR: Epic / Beaker
