Hammond Services is growing and seeking qualified HVAC Service Technicians who want strong pay, consistent work, and long-term career growth with a company that values craftsmanship and integrity.
We are a family-owned and operated Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical company, proudly serving South & West Metro Atlanta area since 1979.
This position will require travel to our Griffin office for on-the-job training (up to 6 weeks).
Pay Range:
  • $70,000 - $130,000+ annually (based on experience, certifications, and performance)

  • On-call rotation; schedule shared in advance (off Monday and Tuesday, working on-call schedule from Wednesday to Wednesday. Off following Thursday through Sunday)

What You'll Do:
  • Diagnose, replace, and troubleshoot residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
  • Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning condenser and coils using approved methods and chemicals
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on residential systems with minimal assistance and supervision while sustaining a positive attitude with the customers you service.
  • Discuss heating or cooling system malfunctions with customers to avoid future problems.
  • Use of software to report work completed and collect customer payments (COD).
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete installations and repairs efficiently.

What You'll Bring:
  • At least 3+ years of HVAC residential and/or light commercial field experience required. Completion of HVAC schooling, preferred.
  • Obtain the appropriate certifications (EPA Type I, II, III or Universal). Other HVAC certifications are a PLUS!
  • Have a valid driver's license and meet auto insurance requirements (minimum age to drive 22 years old).
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
  • Effectively manage call volume and day-to-day tasks; be able to work flexible schedules including overtime, as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
