Role Overviewย 

The Director, Businessย Operationsย serves as a strategic business partner to the Chief Executive Officer, supporting the execution of enterprise priorities through operational leadership, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The roleย is responsible forย translating strategicย objectivesย into measurable business outcomes while strengthening the operational discipline, financial rigor, and organizational effectivenessย requiredย to supportย Lumenci'sย continued growth.ย 

Working closely with the CEO and executive leadership team, the Director, Business Operations will lead and support initiatives spanning strategic planning, operational improvement, financial analysis, executive reporting, and mergers and acquisitions. This individual will partner across the organization to drive execution, improve operational performance, andย provideย the analytical insights necessary to support executive decision-making.ย 

The successful candidate combines strong financial and analytical capabilities with exceptional organizational skills and sound business judgment. They are equally comfortable developing sophisticated financial models, leading cross-functional initiatives, preparing executive-level presentations, and driving projects from concept through implementation. Theyย demonstrateย a high degree of ownership, accountability, and professionalism while effectively balancing strategic thinking with disciplined execution.ย 

Key Responsibilitiesย 
Strategic Business Operationsย 

  • Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to support the execution of strategic business initiatives.ย 

  • Lead cross-functional projects that improve operational effectiveness, organizational scalability, and business performance.ย 

  • Develop and enhance operational processes, governance frameworks, and management cadences that support sustainable growth.ย 

  • Monitor strategic initiatives,ย identifyย execution risks, and recommend practical solutions.ย 

  • Drive accountability across business functions to ensureย timelyย execution of organizational priorities.ย 

Strategic Finance & Business Analysisย 

  • Develop financial models, business cases, forecasts, and analytical frameworks that support executive decision-making.ย 

  • Prepare executive dashboards, KPI reporting, and performance analyses thatย provideย actionable business insights.ย 

  • Analyze financial and operational data toย identifyย trends, risks, and opportunities.ย 

  • Partner with Finance and business leaders to improve planning, forecasting, and resource allocation.ย 

  • Support annual planning and other strategic financial initiatives asย required.ย 

Mergers & Strategic Initiativesย 

  • Support strategic acquisition initiatives through financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence coordination, and executive reporting.ย 

  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams during transaction execution and integration planning.ย 

  • Prepare investment analyses, presentation materials, and supporting documentation for executive leadership.ย 

  • Assistย in monitoring post-acquisition integration activities and performanceย objectives.ย 

Executive Partnershipย 

  • Prepare executive presentations, business reviews, board materials, and strategic updates.ย 

  • Support executive planning by coordinating priorities across departments and leadership teams.ย 

  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic initiatives and executive decision-making.ย 

  • Anticipate business challenges and proactively develop recommendations to improve organizational performance.ย

Qualifications & Experienceย 
Requiredย 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, orย a relatedย discipline.ย 

  • Approximately 5โ€“8 years of progressive experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, strategic finance, business operations, or a similarly analytical environment with increasing levels of responsibility.ย 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excelย proficiency, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and executive reporting.ย 

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.ย 

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.ย 

  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive presentation skills.ย 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities whileย maintainingย exceptional attention to detail.ย 

  • Proven ability to execute projects from concept through implementation.ย 

Preferred Qualificationsย 

  • MBA preferred but notย required.ย
