Job description

Geotemps, Inc. is recruiting for a Geologist. This position is in Patagonia, AZ. This position will assist in the acquisition of quality geological data to support the Hermosa Project. Duties include, but are not limited to, geological and geotechnical core logging, field mapping, and sampling. If you're a team player with strong communication skills and up to 3 years of experience (recent graduates are welcome!), we encourage you to apply.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Ensures and maintains safe practices in alignment with the client's standards and core values.
  2. Drive zero harm workplace through visible felt leadership, stop work authority, and other safety programs in place.
  3. Upholds safety and environmental standards and compliance.
  4. Geological and geotechnical logging of diamond drill core.
  5. Support accurate and consistent sample collection and QAQC initiatives.
  6. Support exploration and infill drilling programs and activities.
  7. Support exploration mapping and sampling activities.
  8. Drill rig checks
Qualifications, Technical Skills, and Management Knowledge:
• A Bachelor of Science in Geology, Geological Engineering, Geophysics or related field is required
• Excellent safety record required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs required.
• Ability to work within a team environment and possess effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
• Familiarity with logging diamond drill core preferred.
• Willingness to help out other team members and teams
  1. Needs to be able to drive a company vehicle.
  2. 0-3 years of previous geology experience (preferably a recent grad)
Requirements/Certifications:
• Safety or steel-toed boots- all other PPE such as hard hat, safety vest, ear and eye protection are provided by the client
• Pre-employment drug screening, DMR, and criminal background check
