About Decision Point

Decision Point is an evangelical nonprofit ministry dedicated to proclaiming the gospel to the next generation. We focus on equipping, sending, and reaching students on their school campuses and online. 


Through partnerships with local churches, student leaders, and communities across the country, we help students become courageous witnesses for Christ among their peers. The Opportunity

The Boston City Director will provide leadership for Decision Point’s ministry efforts throughout the Boston area. This role combines evangelism, church partnership development, student coaching, volunteer engagement, ministry leadership, and strategic growth.


Boston City Director will build, manage and lead a coalition of like-minded churches, pastors, and believers—rallying together to support a student-led gospel movement on school campuses across Boston and beyond. You will spend significant time in the field developing relationships with students, youth pastors, church leaders, and community partners while equipping young leaders to share the gospel on their campuses. 


Your Impact

As Boston City Director, you will:


Coach Youth Pastors and Community Leaders

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with youth pastors, church leaders, parents, educators, and community stakeholders.
  • Help churches engage students in meaningful evangelism and discipleship opportunities.
  • Recruit and mobilize volunteer coaches to equip students to reach their schools with the 5 Gospel Challenges.
  • Represent Decision Point within the broader Christian community throughout the Boston area.


Student Mobilization, Evangelism and Leadership Development

  • Coach and disciple student leaders as they grow in their faith and witness for Christ.
  • Equip students to share the gospel with their peers and reach their schools with the 5 Gospel Challenges. (Good news! It’s all legal at public schools.)
  • Train and take students out to share the gospel at their schools and community.
  • Encourage students to develop leadership skills that will impact their schools and communities for years to come.


Ministry Growth and Leadership

  • Cast a compelling vision for reaching every student and every school across Boston and the surrounding region with the gospel.
  • Identify opportunities to expand ministry impact and strengthen local outreach efforts.
  • Lead and support ministry initiatives that advance Decision Point’s mission and strategic goals.


Coaching and Team Development

  • Recruit and build a team for Boston. Invest in emerging leaders and help them reach their full potential.
  • Provide encouragement, accountability, and practical guidance to students and ministry partners.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, courage for the gospel, and gospel-centered leadership.

Build strong relationships that inspire trust and engagement in the mission. Discern needs, spot opportunities, and encourage with the gospel. Call people to Jesus and the mission while cultivating partnerships with churches, pastors, parents, teachers and Christian leaders.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Ministry leadership experience in church or para-church setting. Experience recruiting, building and leading teams.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.


Compensation & Support Raising

Salary Range: $50,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.


We are a non-profit ministry where every member of our staff is involved in fundraising, and all of our staff are paid well for their work. We set fair compensation for staff, a salary they can count on from day one.


Like many missionaries and ministry leaders, your first assignment will be to invite churches, friends, family members, and other supporters to invest in the ministry God is calling you to. Decision Point provides training, coaching, encouragement, and ongoing support throughout all staff support raising efforts.

Additional Details

  • Full-time position (45+ hours per week)
  • Significant local travel throughout the Boston area
  • Regular travel to expand the movement and ministry on the east coast, and travel to existing or expanding ministry hubs in the country.
  • Occasional travel outside the region for mission trips, ministry events, training, and organizational gatherings. (i.e. Bring students and pastors from Boston to our annual and national Student Leader Conference.)
