Shipping & Receiving Associate II
Location: Carson City, NV
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4-day workweek)
Please Note: This position is located in an ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) facility. Applicants must be able to provide proof of U.S Citizenship such as a valid U.S Passport or your original birth certificate OR a valid permanent resident card. 
We're hiring an experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate II for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a leading aerospace manufacturer in Carson City, NV. If you have strong warehouse experience, forklift skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials and products are accurately received, stored, and shipped while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments for accuracy.
  • Prepare, package, label, and ship customer orders and freight shipments, including hazardous materials.
  • Process shipping and receiving transactions using the company's ERP system and shipping platforms.
  • Load and unload trucks using sit-down forklifts and scissor lifts.
  • Move materials throughout the facility to support production.
  • Complete shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory, documentation, and shipping discrepancies.
  • Perform inventory counts and help maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Conduct basic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on shipping equipment.
  • Monitor shipping supply inventory and replenish materials as needed.
  • Follow DOT, IATA, and company procedures for handling and shipping hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting 6S initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, and other departments to ensure timely workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
  • Hazardous Materials Certification and experience handling hazardous materials in compliance with DOT and IATA regulations.
  • Forklift experience and the ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and shipping software such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and MyDHL+.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with mechanical assistance.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors while loading and unloading trucks.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in manufacturing areas.
