What is the 75 rule for wine?

The 75 rule in wine refers to the guideline that a wine should be consumed within 75 minutes after opening to enjoy optimal freshness and flavor. For wine professionals like Paso Wine staff, understanding this helps in advising customers on proper storage and serving times to ensure quality. Proper handling and storage tools, such as wine stoppers and cool environments, support this practice.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Wine Sales Representative, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Wine Sales Representative, you need a strong knowledge of viticulture, wine varieties, and sales techniques, often supported by experience in the wine industry or related certifications like WSET. Familiarity with CRM systems, point-of-sale software, and inventory management tools is typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills, persuasive communication, and relationship-building abilities help you connect with clients and drive sales. These skills are crucial for effectively promoting wines, building customer loyalty, and achieving sales targets in a competitive market.
